Meet The Team
Judith M Arnold
Judith relocated to the Eastern Shore in 1994. She attended Wor-Wic Community College and followed up with Salisbury University in order to obtain her degree in Social Work. Judith came to work at White Flint Recovery in December, 1995, as an Intensive Outpatient Counselor. In 1997 she was promoted to Assistant Program Director. Judith is a licensed Social Worker and a Certified Addictions Counselor, as well as a Certified Supervisor. In 1999, she purchased White Flint Recovery Eastern Shore, Inc., which today stands as the longest running treatment center on the Eastern Shore. After 20 years, Judith has performed every job in the facility, which she believes is what allows her to stay fresh in the ever changing, always challenging field of addictions. Her favorite mantra, “We are not curing cancer here” helps keep everyone at White Flint Recovery grounded in the fact that we are just tour guides – trying to show people a better way of life. Having recently celebrated 22 years of continuous clean time, Judith is living proof that one day at a time, anyone can leave the darkness of active addiction, and find the light of recovery. She recognizes that not everyone who comes thru the door is an addict or alcoholic, some people just make bad choices, but that no matter what, change is possible.
The importance of our employee’s contribution cannot be overstated. Our goal is to provide treatment services at the highest level possible. Our success is based upon the continuing recovery of the chemically-addicted who find recovery through our programs and our future will only be realized when every member of our organization works at the most professional manner to accomplish this goal.
Phillip joined White Flint Recovery in January, 2015 to become the new Intensive Outpatient Counselor. He recently graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Phillip is currently certified through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists as an Alcohol and Drug Trainee. Prior to working at this agency he was employed for 6 years at a treatment facility for adolescents. “I believe in enjoying life one moment at a time, and I look forward to working with individuals who are in need of substance abuse treatment.”
Outpatient Counselor, BSW, CSC-AD
Tunisia started out as an intern with White Flint Recovery, while obtaining her Chemical Dependency Counseling degree from Wor-Wic Community College in 2011. Several years later she is still rooted and grounded with White Flint and has since obtained her Bachelors in Social Work from Salisbury University. Addiction has always surrounded Tunisia throughout her life, she believes “No-one wakes up one day and says I’m going to be an addict/alcoholic for the rest of my life, there is something that causes a person to choice that path, and it’s my job to find out what that problem is and give them the tools to redirect their paths. Tunisia has a passion for working with people and states “I get excited when I help people become the person they always wanted to be.”
